Frequently Asked Questions
We will have answers to your questions here.
There seems to be more confusion than necessary about the differences
between renovation, restoration, and preservation. Renovation refers
to changes made to a structure with no regards to history or the
importance of the structure, and could be synonomous to remodeling.
Restoration is the process of reversing past renovations to bring the
structure back to it's original form and appearance. Preservation
can include restoration, but also might refer to preventative
maintainence, replication of deteriorated elements, or even financial
or political stabilization of a structure's future, including
fundraising, lobbying, or public relations.
